Course Title: "A Sobering Look at Lawyer Impairment"
Course Description: A significant number of lawyers nationwide suffer from impairment issues. The stresses of the legal profession can lead to substance abuse and mental health problems, which can have serious career consequences. There are, however, proven and practical ways of dealing with these stresses. This program will present the recent findings of the ABA/Hazelden study as well as the potential implications for attorneys of Virginia Legal Ethics Opinions 2886 and 2887.
