Lawyers Helping Lawyers Committee

Lawyers Helping Lawyers is a free-standing Virginia nonprofit, non-stock corporation, headquartered in Richmond, that provides confidential help and support to members of the legal profession who have substance abuse problems or mental health issues.

The CABA Lawyers Helping Lawyers Committee is a resource for attorneys and judges to utilize when they have concerns about themselves or another lawyer who has a mental health or substance abuse issue that is impairing their practice of law.  The concerned person can contact the Committee and it will coordinate with the statewide Lawyers Helping Lawyers office to provide information and assistance to the referral source and the impaired professional.
